Etude House Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam Review

Hi guise!  Happy Mom's Day!

I've been thinking about overhauling my blog again but, I think it would really matter a lot.  Another idea is that, I think I should re-organize on how I write about my findings on the products that I want to share.  I get too lazy most of the time and sometimes, when the inspiration strikes, I just want to write from my phone (though it's not that smart yet XD).  So, maybe, I should just make my own findings very concise and easy to understand. I guess, I should just start right now. #^o^#

Actually, I've had the drafts of this finding for quite a while already.  I believe, however, it still is never to too late to share about it.

So anyways...  I have used Etude House Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam sometime last year.  What made me buy this was that, the EH store at SM  Lanang Premiere ran out of the Baking Powder facial foam at the time.  I decided buying this type because of the convenience of being a one step facial cleanser.  Hurray!

What I found interesting:
There are two types of instructions on how to use Etude House Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam:

i.  With Makeup:  Disperse an ample amount on your palms and gently massage to every inch of your face, starting with the cheeks, nose and ending with the forehead. (Thus, the image instruction below ^o^)  The process will actually make the foam to be stiff, making it more effective in absorbing and removing all that gunk on your face.
ii.  With No Makeup:  Simply dispense an ample amount on your palms to create foam and gently lather on your face.  That simple!

Actual instructions, whether you're wearing makeup or not.

With makeup, start massaging from the cheeks, nose and end at the forehead.

Of course, it is recommended to use and rinse off with lukewarm water.

What I like:

• The consistency - Watery for a foam but lathers really well.
• Non-drying - , Whether or not you're wearing makeup, it still leaves your face moisturized,smooth and soft.  (Thanks to the milk!)
• Less is more - An ample amount means a small pea size and it lathers and foams so well.
• Affordable
• No breakouts from using this one!

What I don't like:

• None!

In a nutshell:

I definitely love this facial foam!  I got the sample size of this from a mini haul and it lasted me a month and a half.  The full size lasted me around six to eight months.  It's a practical buy. ^_^

Buying again?
Yes!  (However, by the time that I finished the full-sized tube, the EH store didn't have this one and they got the Baking Powder one.  Talk about irony!  So, right now, I have the Baking Powder foam.  I could alternate with these two facial cleansers with no sweat.  Feeling lucky !^o^!)

First Impression on Etude house Play 101 Pencils - Great staying power!

Earlier today, I visited the nearest Etude House branch, which is in SM Lanang Premiere.  I really got curious on the idea of pencils that can be carried over as an all around face makeup.  That's why I checked out Etude House's Play 101 Pencils price and the array of shades that it has. Boy, they do come in different shades to choose from and they're actually divided on their usage!

The curiosity built up when I saw Kasper's makeup tutorial in one of K-Style's segments.  From that tutorial, I found that that Play 101 Pencils are the most versatile makeup pencils.  They're not limited to be used as an eyeliner only but also they can be used as lip color, blush and eye shadow.

I tested three (3) shades of the Play 101 Pencils to see how long they will last without a primer and with washing and with "accidental" smudging.  And voila!  They have great staying power!

Tried them around 4 p.m. and voila!  Still visible even though this blog is written late at night.
I forgot which shade number is that turquoise color. 

It's already late now as write but as you can see, they are still visible right?  I noticed that if it's newly applied, it may smudge, like the turquoise shade.  Shade #01 smudged a bit but now, I can't smudge it.  Shade #02 didn't smudge from initial application thought it is a bit faded since I've gotten my hands wet already.  So, if there's a primer underneath, it would last the whole day if you please!

Each Play 101 Pencils costs Php348.  I believe it's a good snatch, especially for other pencils that can be used for the most parts of your face.  I think I would purchase one of them, one of these days and hopefully, I can tell you all about it! ^_^

Road Test EOTD/ FOTD

Hi guys!  I was on a road test earlier today because I had a little haul yesterday.  Below are the things I bought.

Initially, I just decided to test Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Stick underneath the Precious Mineral BB Cream Cotton Fit for the future post.  But hey, why not share the whole arsenal of an EOTD and an FOTD? XD

Testing for the road (kill?)

For the eyes, it really is just a practice/exercise for me.  There is an event at work coming up and I wanted to see how my skills are doing, in line with wanting to know how the Crayon Liner would work. XD  I lined my eyes with the Maybeline Eyestudio Crayon Liner then topped it with Loreal Telescopic Waterproof Eyeliner (a gift from my fab cousin).  I can say that my eye make-up skills is improving!

For the face, I used Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Stick underneath the Precious Mineral BB Cream Cotton Fit, of course.

For the lips, Maybelline Lip Polish in Glam 2.  I like how pigmented this lip polish!  It really lasts long even if I already ate and drank.  No need for a lot of retouch!

Part of the road test was the Etude House Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam also.  I was already using the smaller version that I got from my last purchase (remember my previous post?).  It does work wonders that's why I got the bigger tube.

I'd definitely give you guys more of my findings for every products used.  For the mean time, let me spam you with my selfies/selcas LOL.

My May Etude House Mini Haul

I have finally decided to ditch my old BB cream for a new one.  It has been pretty great but I have been using it for more than a year now.  Even though, I store it properly away from sunlight and humidity, it is already technically expired.  I read somewhere that you can still add around six (6) months for its validity.  Then again, it's better to be safe, especially it is a synthetic product.  Thank God nothing happened to my face.

So yesterday, I decided to buy Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Cotton Fit in W13 shade.  It costs around Php798.

The SA told me to add around Pphp200+ more to my purchase so that I could get a free Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam.  I remembered Do Min Joon (Kim Soo-hyun) telling Cheon Song-yi (Jeon Ji-hyun) in an episode of My Love from Another Star to never fall for buy-one-take-one promos or buy-this-get-this-for-something-price.  So, I was hesitant to get more.

But, I also got the silicone type eyelash curler, which summed up my purchase upto Php900+.  When I was at the counter to pay, the cashier told me that I only need this much to get all of my purchases to a thousand pesos.  I finally gave in and got my self some chin patches, which I kinda needed too XD.

I haven't given my two cents about my old BB cream but I will try to insert it here.  I still have some left and the cream didn't have any discoloration at all.  So, I believe I can still give you my opinions on it.

Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack Review

Hello there!

How are you after long absence?

I am pretty well preoccupied with my job and what not.  It has been a ride along the treacherous tides and now, once again, I am enjoying the calm before another storm.

However, I am going to share to you a ride that hasn't calmed yet.  I am still riding the tide on the browse for a good chin patch.  I have tried the Etude House Black Charcoal Chin Pack but I didn't think about writing my thoughts about it.  This time I have tried another variant from Etude House, which is the Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack.

Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack (#01 Eagle Owl) sports a pink, cute packaging with an owl or eagle (as the name suggests) with a chin patch.  Who can't resist to that? It's weird and cute and the same for me.

The back of the package gives Korean and Korean-English translations of the features, directions and ingredients.  It also has a mini story of the Eagle Owl (weird bird ^o^)

 I apologize with the photos.  It seems there's something wrong that I cannot figure.  

The Etude  House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Patch effectively get out the gunk and cleanses out the chin pores from sebum.  The length of the patch just fits right from the corners of my mouth.

After fifteen minutes, my chin was so clean and smooth!  However, after a few days, my chin feels a little rough and I guess there are white heads again.... Well, you can't just eliminate them all in one go, right?  I guess like the nose patches and masks,  cleansing out your face with this helps eliminates or minimizes the appearance of white heads and black heads.

It's a good product but I think I haven't found my go-to chin patch yet.  So, I'm going to keep sailing and look for good chin patches.

A Newbie With Etude House It's Real Mask Sheet Broccoli And To Other Masks

Two nights ago, it's the first time for me to try on a facial mask! I tried, however, Baviphat Apple AC Therapy Sleeping Mask and I quite liked it because it was a sleeping mask, perfect for lazy persons like me. But that was months ago and maybe I'll tell you about my findings on it if I repurchase it. I filled up my curiosity to try on a mask that has to be taken off after 15 minutes. So, I tried Etude House It's Real Mask Sheet Broccoli. I chose it for its anti-oxidant properties and it belongs to the new line of masks of Etude House.

Because I am a newbie, I didn't know which side to put it on! Good thing Etude House has some simple, understandable English instructions. They have illustrations too, which is also very helpful!

For other first timers, I guess the trick is that the  inner part from the fold is the side to your face and the thin film that edges out slightly is the outer part. It's quite tricky for me because the film is too thin to be recognized, unlike with nose films that it's easy to know.

I just followed the rest of the instructions and I waited for 15 minutes before removing it off. A timer is helpful in case you're too bothered to check on the time every minute and figuring out if it's time already.

My Experience With The Mask
I found out that masks can be pretty sticky. I thought it's just like moist tissues. I don't know if all masks are sticky but the  Etude House It's Real Mask Sheet Broccoli  is sticky for me and it felt like saliva on my face. LOL

After removing the mask, you have to massage the remaining extracts on your face. I didn't care about the stickiness after because majority of it was absorbed into my face. However, it took awhile to do the massaging and the patting before the remaining extracts to be fully absorbed.

When I woke up, my face was not oily, especially on my T-Zone but it was quite sticky, dewy and quite bright! I had some budding zits the night before but the next day, it was ripe and hopefully will die easily with a help from tea tree oil. After washing my face, it was soft, tight, and bright!

Final Thoughts About Masks
I've known that a part of having good skin is to have the basic skin care regimen but it's also good to apply on a pack or put on a pack once in awhile for extra pampering. And I guess, this will be a good addition aside to the nose packs/films and scrubs that I follow once or twice a week.

After this experience with Etude House It's Real Mask Sheet Broccoli, I would like to try on other masks. It just didn't give a WOW factor on me and it's a little pricey compared to some other Etude House mask sheet types and brands. Come to think of it, I still have another mask from Etude House that has been stowed away and has been forgotten to be tried on!

Fitting Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil Refill In A Non-Etude House Product

A month ago, I finished up the retractable eyebrow pencil from Saizen. It lasted for around three to four months. I bought it around November or December last year. And I'm still left with a tad of it.

 When I ventured there (to Saizen) to purchase another type of  retractable eyebrow pencil , similar to the one that I had, it was nowhere to be found! Unfortunately, the only Saizen is in one Ayala mall here and it doesn't have the shade and the type of eyebrow pencil that I wanted. Sigh. So I resolved to purchase a sharpen-type pencil from the same store. But, I'm bad with sharpening even with just normal pencils. It couldn't even last decently for a month.

I checked ebay again for some retractable eyebrow pencils that is cheap and affordable. I found out Etude House has some and they have some refills! And with that, I checked the Etude House in our local mall and thank God, there's one with the shade that I am for.

The Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil Refill is priced at Php 78. I found in an ebay store and it is sold for  Php 75, which is cheaper by Php 3 but plus shipping fee, it would still  be overpriced. I'm glad that I checked the Etude House first. (^o^)

There's only one refill in that kind-of-a-matchbox-box. Nonetheless, it's just Php 78 pesos and hopefully it can last around three to four months. Still, depending on the individual use. If you flip the box on to its other side, there's no English instructions whatsoever to tell you how to refill your eyebrow pencil. But it is easy to figure it all out.

On the Saizen's retractable eyebrow pencil , you can't see English texts for its features or ingredients but there's an English translation of what it is, the caution note and where it is made from.

No English instructions except for the company name and where it is made from. I guess, you just have to figure it out on your own how to install the refill.

It's also made in Korea despite being a Japanese product.

Because I don't have the Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil per se, I was skeptical about whether or not it might fit perfectly. The Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil  refill has a bigger tip. The Saizen retractable eyebrow pencil has a smaller tip. The length is almost the the same. But the Etude one has a fatter body.

They have almost the same lengths. The Etude one (the one at the top) looks a little fat than the Saizen one (the one at the bottom).

 But it perfectly fits well and even with the cap!

Thank God it fitted well! I don't have to scour the shelves of Saizen for a retractable eyebrow pencil that fits my need! They have some pointy types and some brands that have some refills  of their own but either it's not to my liking or it isn't the right shade. Though it is just dirt cheap for Php 85, I rather buy the refill from Etude House. It'll save me some Php 7 pesos and it's the one that I am looking for.

Etude House Happy Tea Time in Green Tea and Skin Food Peach Sake Pore Serum Review

No work today! Hurray!

It's good thing I can do my blogging again. The more I need to blog, the more I believe having my own laptop is very beneficial. Just sayin'! :)

Anyway...

I have been using Etude House Happy Tea Time in Green Tea for around two weeks now. And true to some reviews, it leaves your face squeaky clean but not leaving it dry! My pimples also dry fast, though not overnight. I'm happy with the result and did not regret buying it as part of my cleansing routine.

On the other hand...

Recently, I bought Skin Food Peach Sake Pore Serum in trial sachets. I cannot afford to buy the big bottle and I want to try if it is really for me. Good thing, I got some trial sachets from my "suki" ebay seller.

This serum has mixed reviews on its effectiveness. Some bad, some good, and some are neutral. For me, I would say, it is almost good. Not neutral, not yet good. I'm not convinced yet. My findings with this product are one, it has very nice oil control on my face. I used this before using a BB cream and the difference is very BIG! Two, it did not leave any dry patches unlike some creams that I used before. Three, my pores have becomes less visible, and I believe smaller. I'm not really sure if it did broke me out 'cause I was at the PMS days when I tried this, but again, oil control is great for me. And I guess, four, this serum also is also very hydrating for me. I don't double with my moisturizer any more. I have to discontinue my moisturizer since it doesn't have oil control. Maybe another review on that. Another finding also, not really necessary, is that I can see little sparkles after application. I don't know what it is but no worries, it does not cause any detriments to the effectiveness.

I have been using this serum almost everyday and I really cannot say about the cons yet. Like I said, I was on my PMS days when I tried it and usually I have a big one or two on the forehead. I'll see for one more week, especially when my moon days are over before I can conclude that this does not break me out. Nonetheless, I want to continue using this one!

Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Green Tea: A Gloomy Day's Purchase

I woke today in a rather bad mood. I woke up very early to do all the things that I need to do but I still ended up going out from the house late. I had to rush since today is not my day-off. I only have an hour to shop for things that I need.

To compensate for the gloomy day, I bought myself a tube of Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Green Tea. Actually, this was not part of the plan. I was planning to buy myself a Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Foam. But when I arrived at Saizen, there were NO STOCKS of Daiso products anymore! I was like GAH! There were still Sumi Charcoal Cleansing Foams on hand but I was skeptical on trying one because I haven't read reviews about it yet. Only to my endless disappointments! So I just walked out and went through the grocery. After buying things, Etude House shown itself in front of me and saying "Hi! We have our Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Green Tea instead. Please take a sip and be rejuvenated! (^_^)" (The line, however, is just made up. I just imagined Etude House store would say such to a down girl.) Oh well, yes, I succumbed. Much to my impulsiveness again.

I guess this will not be a bad buy. I have already read soooo many reviews about Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foams and most of them are really POSITIVE! I have been using another facial foam before but it has always left me with a dry, dull, skin. I have never purchased that facial foam again. It has been a year that I haven't been using a decent facial cleanser. I'm using a baby wash as my facial cleanser but it doesn't cleanse my face enough. Especially recently, I have been wearing a BB cream and other make-ups. So, that's why I've been searching reviews for a good facial cleanser and suitable for my skin type. And I really hope, Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Green Tea will be the cleanser that I have been looking for!

I'm hoping though that Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Green Tea for thrift users like me. (#^O^#) The price is alright for a 150 ml. I think it can last me more than 6 months or so. And again, I'm hoping to have a good experience with this cleanser!

Getting excited to try a new find is a good way to end a gloomy day. All's well that ends well! (^o^)
