It All Started In Multiply

I think I have sounded like a broken record to myself that Multiply is closing. So, I apologize if annoy you with it. But I can't help being nostalgic about it because I did my first ever online shopping transaction in Multiply!

I started shopping online around 2007 or 2008. Multiply was one of the trending social networking sites back then, together with Friendster and MySpace. It wasn't a shopping site yet but it some people used it already as an avenue for selling items. Maybe because, first, you can make albums easily and even customize the borders and captions for it. I remember Friendster is not so friendly with the archiving and customizing of albums at that time. And maybe, second, you can also customize your whole Multiply site in accordance with your shop theme, which other social networking sites are not so good with the customizing features at that time. So, I guess, Multiply was the better avenue for that. And, yeah, I purchased my first ever item from an online store in Multiply.

My first ever purchase online and from an online shop in Multiply, is this Roma hobo bag from Fab Manila back in  2007. I instantly fell in love with this bag. It has an ethnic, bohemian pattern in the red-shade family on a majority of black background. The strap is an unrecognizable bronze-colored patent that looked like leather in the picture.

At that time, I grabbed the opportunity of buying it being sold with FREE SHIPPING! Who wouldn't want that?

I was secretly hoping though that the bag strap is made from leather when I got my hands on it. Nonetheless, I still loved it for its spacious interior and very clean stitching. If I can remember correctly, this bag sold around Php 600, which is not too bad since this bag is authentically Filipino made.  It can compete with any local brand and maybe with international brands as well.

Before publishing this post, I checked Fab Manila's Multiply site. They're still active until now and still selling great designed bags. I also looked for my bag as posted when it was still on sale (of course now, it is sold). It's still there! See here. Then again, Multiply is closing, of course their shop there will be closing too. But rest assured for bag lovers out there like me, they have a Facebook account, a Twitter account, and their very on website. I can shop for authentically Filipino-made and affordable bags from Fab Manila virtually anywhere!

My Roma hobo bag is still in good condition, except some crumples on the patent strap. The fabric hasn't faded and it doesn't attract a lot of dust. I can just hang it without even putting it in a dust bag. Overall, it's still good! I still use it until now. I usually use it as an accessory to my plain looking style or to a laid-back bohemian style. I hope I can purchase another Fab Manila bag, and I hope I can get one with free shipping again!

How about you? What's your first purchase online?

Dated Me At Sushi Dito

Yesterday, I was able to date ME and have some a little me time. Actually, I was scheduled to go to the my work's physical office to renew my working contract. So, after visiting our physical office, I went to a modern Japanese restaurant, Sushi Dito, to eat some lunch.

I have been eye-ing this restaurant on Facebook but I don't have really a lot of time to check it out personally and it was just near our office. So yesterday's the good time.

The place was small and cozy: low chairs and tables to give you that modern Japanese feel. Too bad I felt too lonely to take more photos of the place but let me tell you that there are some Japanese art on the walls. Not too much though, still in line with that modern Japanese feel: simple and minimal.

Low chairs and tables.

Service was not that Japanese, unfortunately expected. There was only one server/cashier. In a customer point of view, she was in between shy and cold. For me I would say in vernacular, suplada-ish. She greeted me, though, and acted all polite throughout her service for me. But I guess she should have been a little cheerful and more approacheable to make it more cozy and less lonely for lone customers like me.

Because it was too lonely to order a lot and, again, I was just alone and my first time to check out this place, I just ordered myself a Teriyaki Don and a Coke Zero. Very lonely. -_-

Their Teriyakidon was okay: neither good nor bad. If you're into Japanese, teriyaki is barbequed chicken. Unfortunately, I didn't get that chicken barbeque taste. I believe the chicken was just breaded and mixed with teriyaki sauce a.k.a. barbeque sauce. All in all, their Teriyakidon was just okay, simple breaded chicken mixed with barbeque sauce topped with bean sprouts and wilted greens. It was also salty for my taste and I can't help commenting to myself that it couldn't be at par with my expectations and with other dons of other modern Japanese restaurants. Well, I have to forgive them for that 'cause they're a sushi restaurant.

Teriyakidon

Well my overall experience is okay. Maybe because I was alone. For the next time I would definitely try their sushi, alone or not. I read from patron comments in their Facebook page that their sushis are good. I hope I would be wowed by that and hope that the service would wow me, too, the next time. More importantly, I hope it wouldn't be so lonely anymore. posted from Bloggeroid

Multiply Closing And A First Migrated Post: Tony Moly Mini Tint

I just found out (from another blogger that I follow) that Multiply will close its social networking purpose. I have already somehow discontinued using it as a social networking site but kept it for online shopping use. And, I've also deleted some immature, foolish blog posts and planned to use it as my shopping blog. I actually started there but moved here because it's easier--post-sharing wise and search wise. Also, I already planned to copy/paste the entries I've done there but I forgot and got lazy to start migrating those posts. Hehehe. And because Multiply is closing I will start now. :D

Tony Moly Mini Tint (Originally posted on October 14, 2011)

This is one of my recent finds.(I'm using not so good webcam photos because I'm so excited to share a review on this! XD)

I got to know this tint a few months back in an online store in FB. I got so interested in it because of its cute container. It looks like a small nail polish or a cherry tomato. But I was skeptical of getting one because of the price. In some online stores, it costs around Php 70-80 plus shipping fee. And this is only around 5-8ml. I don't want to pay a lot for a very cute stuff. XD I think there is one online store from FB who sells this tint but I cannot remember which it was.

Luckily, I found one an online store in ebay.ph and it only costs Php 50. Another good thing too is that I don't have to pay for the shipping fee since the seller only lives near my village so I was able to pick it up!

So moving on....

This tint is a cheek and lip tint. So, it has dual purposes. But for this time, I want to try it on my lips first. I got oily skin and I've read some reviews that say liquid tints are not so compatible with oily skin. Maybe, I'll try next time.

This tint has only one type of shade but, I believe, it matches my skin tone. It is a very watery type of tint but the color is so red rich. I'm kinda apprehensive on trying it on. I don't want it to be hoochie red. But when I tried, voila! It looks so natural on my lips!

Before ...

After...
So, what do you think? XD

This tint is the good stuff! Unlike lipsticks, tinted lip balm, and lip gloss, it's very light on the lips. It will give you a very natural look. You don't have to put a lot of it. You just have to spot it on your lips and spread it. A small spot goes a long way. But if you wanted to add a little perk, you  can dab on a sheer lip gloss for the extra oooompppphhhh!

Judging from this effect, maybe I will use it everyday.  But I'm such a thrift user so maybe the tint will last for 3-6 months or maybe longer. (^_^)

How about you? Have you tried any lip tints yet?

A Birthday Treat!

It's my special day so I treated my self with these Human Heart Nature Goodies!

From Left to Right: 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub, Nourishing Face Toner (Tomato), A Free Pinay Proud Sticker, 100% Natural Moisturizing Night Cream, and 100% Natural Sunflower Beauty Oil.

I'm excited to try these babies for the first time, except for the Sunflower Beauty Oil. That's my second bottle already and it took me more than six months to finish one. Talk about "SULIT" on that! I hope I don't get any bad reactions on these products and I hope they will help control my oily/combination skin.

I'm so happy to have these! They are good enough for my presents already. And maybe I'll share my own findings on these also.

Ciao! ^_^

Deli Oats

I bought this crackers for my BB but I can't just stop eating it. It tastes like cinnamon graham crackers!

I usually buy this kind of crackers because it is cheap, low in sodium, tastes good, and my BB likes it too.

Tony Moly's Me and My Kitty Contest!

I love cats! Cats have been our household pets ever since our dog died when I was ten years old. We tried raising puppies but we couldn't keep them for a long time because they die easily. Too bad. Then came a time when we adopt a cat or a cat adopts us and that's the start of our feline love, I guess.

I know there are a lot of cat lovers like me so that's why I want to share Tony Moly's newest contest! I don't own any Tonly Moly cat items but I've seen their very cute packaging for their cat products. Now, the contest is to showcase their cat items and give you a chance to share how much you love your cat AND win cool cat prizes! How kitty cool is that!

Tony Moly's Me and My Kitty Contest

I'm thinking to join! Do you want to join too? Hit here for more information.
