Body Mist Scent Association

Summer makes me wonder of the body mists that could make you feel and smell fresh. It also made me kind of nostalgic. That's why I ordered these scents from a seller in Shopee.

L-R: Calgon Hawaiian Ginger, Victoria's Secret Love Spell, and Victoria's Secret Strawberries and Champagne
The body mists that make me feel nostalgic!
L-R: Calgon Hawaiian Ginger, Victoria's Secret Love Spell, and
Victoria's Secret Strawberries and Champagne

Love Spell makes me feel young and fresh!

I tried Love Spell from one of my great friends who was studying in Cebu and hosted my first ever solo trip there. She let me stay in her boarding house and toured me around the city. After buying dried fish from Carbon market, we went back to her boarding house to rest. She lent me the mist to mask the dried fish smell and it was effective. It made me feel we didn't even go to the market. I wish my friend and I can go back to Cebu again.

Strawberries and Champagne gives a cozy and warm feeling.

My Omma bought me Strawberries and Champagne mist and lotion when I was in the university. I didn't mind using the lotion even if it could be thick and totally moisturising. You wouldn't want to do that in a humid country. What I did was just take a very little amount to spread on my body. It's that moisturising and definitely a little of it takes a very long way. I was lucky enough to study in a university with air conditioned rooms. Humidity was just a minor issue. It took me more than a year to finish the lotion and I loved everyday when I wore it. The lotion smell sticks to your clothes and the mist is sweet and definitely refreshing - a great pair to the lotion.

Hawaiian Ginger is spicy, makes me curious and tenacious.

Hawaiian Ginger was a coveted mist when I was in highschool. I just tried a spritz of this at the mall because I didn't have money to buy a bottle before. Having a bottle of this back in highschool means you're well-off. If I buy one now, I'll feel I can rule the world! Lol

Smelling these scents definitely sends me back to those good times. I feel that I was really blessed and lucky to have good mom, a great friend, and good opportunities to try awesome things. I hope everything around us will snap back to normal or even a better normal, where we can be together and do things without fear and anxiety.

By the way, have you tried these scents, too?

Breylee Vitamin C Serum Review

I got myself buying this dirt cheap Vitamin C serum from Breylee in Shopee Mall. Advertisements of this Vitamin C serum is everywhere on the web but I couldn't really find an in depth review of this, except from Miles Poblete Official. I read some reviews from Shopee, Amazon, and BeatyMNL, and some are just raving about the efficacy of this product.

Breylee Vitamin C Serum
You can see the QR code right there
where you can scratch and see its unique code of authenticity.

Breylee Vitamin C Serum
Breylee Vitamin C Serum out of the box
Looks pristine and classy despite the price point.

Well, the Vitamin C serum is not really an appealing active for me because it can be expensive. If you get the purest form, L-Ascorbic acid, it is very unstable and can be irritating. Derivatives can also be expensive and efficacy vary (YMMV). So, I am not really keen on getting one.

However, curiosity can kill a cat. This serum sells around Php 260 in Shopee and Php 395 in BeautyMNL. If you buy from Shopee, the price can still go lower because flash sales and discount vouchers. Sounds sketchy, right? Sadly, I am a sucker for discounts and cheap prices.

The packaging of this brand is straight-forward. It has its ingredients list, product features, directions for use and storage, and manufacturer information. The box also has a QR code, which you can scan and verify its authenticity from the Breylee website. I checked mine and it's authentic according to the website.

I got my bottle from the Breylee official store in Shopee and it is legit!

I checked the ingredients of the serum in the Breylee website, cosdna and incidecoder. I found it weird because not all ingredients listed in the box are listed in those sites. Perhaps they have abbreviated or used a different term? I'm not sure. I checked each ingredients in the box and found that the they are fairly safe, except for some that may cause irritation, such as parabens. It contains a lot of humectants, that leaves your skin hydrated. It uses 3-o ethyl ascorbic acid, which is a stable derivative of the purest form, L-ascorbic acid.

The box is sealed when I received it.
The QR code can't just be hampered or altered.
I guess, this is legit

First impressions:
  • The rubber on the dropper smells burnt, but the product does not smell anything. When I received this, it was warm. Hence the smell?
  • The pipette is not the non-drip type so be careful when getting the serum. You may get unwanted wasteful drops
  • Has a crystalline-yellow / orangey tint
  • Very runny and feels watery. You don't have to wait for a long time for it to be absorbed. No problem when incorporating on a daytime routine
  • Non-sticky. You'll just feel a bit of a bounce when applied. If you use Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion, it feels something like that but lighter
  • Pores are instantly hydrated when applied
  • Actually dries matte, no problem when layering a moisturiser or sunscreen during the day
  • No itching or redness whatsoever

Breylee Vitamin C Serum texture
Serum is runny and watery.
I like this texture because it means it can be absorbed by the skin immediately.

Breylee Vitamin C Serum from the pipette
The pipette is not a non-drip type.
You may see half a drop slighting dripping.

I have a recovering pimple and some acne scars to be some basis for lightening and brightening. Hopefully, it can help lighten them up, as well as brightening the whole face.

That recovering pimple and scars would be my basis for this trial.
I used a toner before the serum, and then snail cream after the serum.

I may use this day and night. Let's see on the coming days how it fairs on my skin. So, good luck to me!

Have you tried Breylee Vitamin C serum, too?

It'll be the first time for me to try Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off and the freebie, Klavuu Ideal Actress Backstage Cream SPF30 PA++ Sunscreen. I'll try to find time to try the cream. As for the mask, it'll be on my very next shower. I definitely need a bit of masking and some physical scrubbing.

It's my second time to purchase Apothekescience Niacinamide. I got a bigger bottle this time. I just love how it hydrates my face. It reminds me of my fave korean brans snail essence. I haven't written about this one yet but definitely, I will now very soon.

And, it's the third time for me to buy CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It takes me a long time to finish one bottle and I just can't live without it. It really does help clean my pores!

Did you avail of the 7/15 Shopee sale, too? What were your purchases?

Online Shopping in Time of ECQ

Hi guys! How are you? How have you been holding up from all the chaos of #COVID19?

After almost four months of not writing here, I miss writing here! Yes, I did say my reviews will be on my Instagram but I haven't really been actively posting product reviews. I've posted food pictures, instead. That is to hype-up a local bakery and my friend's pastries. Well, in terms of writing about products I've tried, I'm taking my sweet time... or 'being lazy' is the better way to describe me and my blogging ethic. Then again, I miss it here. So, I may just repost what I had posted on Instagram so far.

Anyway.... I'm pretty much hanging on until this time. It's a challenge to go through this pandemic. You have to be calculative on how to consume your necessities, since going to the grocery or anywhere right now takes away a lot of time and patience. You have to deal with long lines due to social distancing and long wait-times on queue because establishments are short-staffed. Shopping online and having things delivered have made it quite easy, I should say. If you are one of my followers, you may have noticed I have done a little bit of online shopping for food and products.

Here are some of the items that I've ordered online.  ^o^

Freshly-baked products from Bread for EveryJuan

This is my first online purchase since the pandemic started. I got to know Bread for EveryJuan through my office friend, Mhoi. I believe she saw them being posted in her condominium's Facebook group or something. Apparently, the bakery is just near, but you can't really go anywhere on a whim right? I ordered from them when I was craving for affordable bread because there was no bread in the grocery when I went on a supply run at that time. I got to try their ube cheese pan de sal, both the regular and special ones, spanish bread, and their loaf bread. I love their spanish bread. Their regular and special ube cheese pan de sal are fan favourites!

Their menu have vastly innovated since. They have nostalgic favourites, too, such as pan de coco and monay. If you want to order freshly-baked products from Bread for EveryJuan, you can send them a message on their social media sites:

Lip and Cheek Rolly Liquid Lipsticks from Sooperbeaute

My no-makeup-buy creed was broken when I took advantage of Sooperbeaute's Buy 3 Take 1 sale sometime at the start of the lockdown. I told my self that purchasing them would be my gift to my self at the end of the lockdown. If you remember at that time, couriers were at a pause and were scheduled to be back to business in the middle of April. Government measures somehow eased up on delivery services after the Holy Week, so I guess that's why my orders were shipped earlier than expected! We're already in the middle of May and still in lockdown, but I got an early gift. XD

I got the shades Baby Girl, Bebe, and Pumpkin, with the take one, Dulzura. I just opened Pumpkin since we're still in lockdown. XD I still have tons of lip makeup just lying around and I don't have much of an excuse to open and use all of them. Maybe a swatch? Let's see.

As of today, Sooperbeaute is available to take orders from their Shopee page or shoot them a direct message on their Instagram account.

Babe Formula fragrant shampoos

Curiosity and rave reviews of this well-hyped local shampoo brand got me buying from Babe Formula. The usual feedback is that their shampoos are very fragrant, leaves the hair soft, and make it look like the hair is treated from the salon. Who wouldn't want that right?

It's been over a month since I have used their shampoos. So, I may post what I think about them soon.

If you're getting curious, too, check them out on their Instagram account. You may want to buy them, too, I bet!

Comfort brownies From Scratch Pastries

My friend, Mich, has been baking ever since I know her from college. Just around a couple of years or so, she put her love of baking into an empire. However, because of the pandemic situation she put the baking business on hold. It wasn't until recently that she's back to business!

I'm so happy knowing that I could order her scrumptious brownies any time that I want from now on, of course with a one-day lead time. Her pastries have the right amount of sweetness. You'll definitely be comforted. Aside from her brownies, her crinkles and banana bread are to die for. One of my office friends, Drew, can attest to this. ^o^

Marigold Skin Brightening Serum from Cleopatra's Secret Skin Care

I got to know this brand from the numerous times they participated in Edsa Shangri-la's weekend bazaars. I'm just checking out their products whenever I get the chance to go to their booth, but I never get to buy anything from them. Following them on their Instagram account, allowed me to learn about their products and how natural healing is best for overall wellbeing.

I took advantage of their sale on their Shopee page. I got their Marigold Skin Brightening Serum for a great fraction of a cost, plus a Shopee voucher. How cool is that!

I'm now using the serum. I'm still on the test phase. I'll share my thoughts about it after a couple of months, or till I get a solid feel about it. As a preview, the serum calms and relaxes you.

They're usually known for their variety of masks that targets skin concerns, such as acne, fine lines, and aging. They also have a skin care line, body oils, and acupressure tools! Get to know more about them and their products on their Instagram account.

Freshly-cooked meals from The Giving Cafe

I'm listing this at the end because I haven't taken a decent picture of all the food I have ordered from them. It's either I take a shaky picture of it or forget to take a picture. ^o^  The food that I've ordered from them always taste so homey and filling. Their food prices are reasonable, given with the quantity and quality. You won't regret ordering from them, honestly.

I got to know about them when I was browsing Grab Food during Good Friday, and they're one of the few that were open at that time. I got to try their Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop first. Since then, I always check them out when I want a freshly-cooked meal. I like their Buttered Chicken and White Pasta best.

If you'd like to order from them, they're open daily as early as 7 am to 7 pm for delivery and pickup.  They're also available in Grab, FoodPanda, and TheVault.ph. Hopefully, when this is over, I may just go to their cafe in person. <3

Shopping online has kept my senses away from being anxious and my bank account quite depleted. If this is the new normal, I don't know if living like this is very feasible for me. I still prefer going out once in a while, checking and trying out new things. I miss going to the malls without having to worry about getting to close with other people or dilly-dally your way out.

There's recent news going around that the enhance community quarantine will soon be lifted or changed to a general community quarantine. I don't know if that's good news already because I think it's still immature to do so and there's no vaccine.

Well, I hope everything will turn out better soon. Let's hang in there!

Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

I have been using organic products for my skin care and bath regimen for quite sometime now but I've never really ventured out to makeup. I tried a tinted lip balm from Human Heart Nature but I did not quite like its formulation on me.  I recently found about Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick from one of the most celebrated local bloggers and she just totally loved it. Trying out Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick from Eden's Paradise is a first!

Eden's Paradise has been gaining quite a cult rave locally. I actually came to know about them a couple of years back when one of my collage acquaintances is reselling their products.  I was skeptical before on trying out their products because I can only read reviews from the posted customers' feedback of my acquaintance's Facebook page. I was also using organic products from a different brand for a fraction of a price and availability of those are conveniently available in some supermarkets. When I scoured the Internet again about them, many have already tried and said nothing but great reviews on how effective their products.

Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick

Upon ripping the liquid lipstick from the supposedly cling wrap, you'll find the liquid lipstick has its simple packaging. The print on the tube reminds me of Pink Sugar Tint and Kylie. The distinctive caterpillars makes it genuinely Eden's Paradise.

A small inlay is wrapped around the tube. The front says of the brand with a Kylie-esque lips.

Inside you'll find the product description, instructions on how to use and the ingredients. It is infused with organic goodness that definitely will keep your lips hydrated, even if it's matte.

At the back, you'll see some information on how to get connected with them.

Looking at the bottom, you'll see a cute sticker of its expiration date.

Its tube has some kind of a vacuum characteristic that guarantees it won't spill out. I noticed, however, it smells like old lipstick. Maybe because it's organic?

Its doe-foot applicator makes application precise and a breeze. It's highly pigmented. It shows not really nude on me but kind of a 90's reddish brown.

It's kind of more of a reddish brown on me rather than nude. :3

Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick in a nutshell

What I Like:

  • Its doe-foot applicator makes precise application. You can apply on commute, running or walking. XD
  • Its color lasts for quite a while though, you may need retouch once in a while.
  • Its affordability.
  • It's hydrating even without the need of a lip balm. As for me, I still put on lip balm sometimes to prevent chapping because I have dry lips. For a perfect matte lips, exfoliation is needed. :D

What I don't like:

  • Its smell. Maybe because it's organic or with the packaging(?) But, I did not have any adverse reaction - no itching or swelling.

Will I repurchase?

Most probably! I like to wear it on days when I feel like to have kind of a drama on my look. Its highly pigmented and affordable.

I would also like to try Eden's Paradise other products. They have so much to offer from skin care, bath essentials and to makeup products. They can definitely compete with the current market and with the current need of organic products. Their Bursting Tomato Love Gel, Tomato pore detox soap are some that I want to try.

I got Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick from one their re-sellers, who's close from where I'm currently staying. She's fast and delivers no-hassle transaction. You can also order from Eden's Paradise main Facebook page or from their website.

Have you tried Eden's Paradise Nude Teddy Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick or their other products? Please do share about it. :D

My First Zalora Experience Review: So good!

My first ever Zalora purchase arrived last Friday, 11/6.  I was so ecstatic because it was all smooth sailin'!

I placed my order last 11/1 and opted for a bank transfer payment. I even sent an email to Zalora to make sure that they received my payment (Nanigurado talaga ako XD. The email support representative immediately responded to reassure me. Impressive customer service! :D)

Around 11/3 or 11/4, they confirmed my payment and immediately informed me that they will be sending my purchase.

Voila, on 11/5, Zalora texted me that their delivery guy will be at our doorstep anytime within 8 am - 5pm. Unfortunately, there was no one at home when the delivery guy came. He immediately called and settled that he'll just drop my purchase at our village entrance (poor delivery guy).

Finally, I got my first ever Zalora purchase!

It came in a box with your name on the top panel.

The bottom came out with a warning.  You'll feel really special as a customer. :3

Unboxing...

Inside the box:  Customer copy receipt, Order replacement instructions, the item.

The item:  Carefully wrapped with a bubble wrap and wrapped with another plastic case.

The item, inside the pouch:  The item even has a tag on it.  You are assured you are getting a real deal, no counterfeits!

Not only that the Zalora team quickly catered my order, they also have great customer service. I'm also trully impressed on how they take care of the things they deliver.  You'll feel really special as a customer.

I would definitely place another order from Zalora when the time comes! And, good news, they offer big discounts if you download and purchase with their app.

Check out Zalora and experience a great online shopping!

My first Lazada.ph experience review

My friend and I are first time shoppers in Lazada.  We wanted to try and experience shopping from their site.  Just about the right time, my Etude House retractable brush died on me.  So I thought, this is a good chance!

My friend ordered a powerbank and I ordered an Ecotools brush set.  My friend and I ordered together to take advantage of the free shipping.  We placed the  order last Thursday 10/15/2015.

My order arrived before than my friend's!  I got it last Wednesday, 10/21/2015.  Amazing!  I was really excited XD.  My friend said that gadgets may take time to be delivered.  So, he's still on the plateau phase of waiting.

I was really excited.  Aside from being my first Lazada purchase, this would be my first Ecotools set too!  And lo and behold when I opened the package~~~~

My excitement went from 10 then down...

NOTE:  Photos were taken with Asus Zenfone 2 Laser.  Images are so crisp! XD

From the logo itself, it screams fake already!

Judge them yourself.

From the looks of the brushes, they don't have the burnt "Ecotools" embedded on their handles.

Powder brush up close: Notice the ferrule.

The pouch:  No "Ecotools" sewn.

The package:  Leaf prints are not detailed.

Well, there you have it.  My first Lazada experience is like a 6/10 for me.  The delivery was fast, really fast for that matter.  However, I didn't expect that they would sell a counterfeit (At the back of my mind, I'm hoping that I am wrong.  You judge them yourself and prove me wrong XD).

On the bright side, the brushes feel soft.  I will get back to you on how they perform.

With this experience, I will not purchase brushes from Lazada anymore.  I'll buy from legit resellers next time.

How about you, have experienced something like this from Lazada?

By the way, my friend's order hasn't arrived yet as of this moment.  They're really hitting the 7-10 day mark, I guess.

Achievement Unlocked From Sulit Philippines

The Hobbit Illustrated by Alan Lee has been one in my wishlist. So sometime around last Wednesday, I searched online for that and Google results suggested one for me on sulit.com.ph.

For a bit of a trivia, it is my first time buying from sulit. I just didn't find it very friendly when it comes to online buying. Either that or I just have my biases regards to ebay.ph, which I didn't encounter any scams and not-so-good sellers.

I luckily found one from this seller, daenerys2040.  The book was priced between Php600- Php700.  I immediately contacted the seller and we agreed on the price of Php800,that includes the shipping fee.

The book's description by the seller says :
Description
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien Illustrated by Alan Lee (Hardcover)
Hardcover. Glossy paper. Great colored and non-colored illustrations.
Not rand new but good as one.
Great buy for Tolkien-work collectors.
Thanks
The next day, Thursday, I paid for the book and the seller was able to send it on the same day.  Then Friday came and so was the book!

The book was neatly wrapped and protected with bubble-wrap.  It was also wrapped in plastic that I used as a cover immediately.  Look how it has become.

Described as used but not used-looking at all!

I'm so happy that I was able to transact with a very nice seller and to top that, the book looks really brand new like it wasn't used at all.  I am so happy that until now I still couldn't contain my all feels.

This books has been in my mundane wishlist and I am so happy I was able to buy this.  Like I've said, I wouldn't let an opportunity go not having this. And I didn't regret buying this with the price like that!  It sure is a good buy and a great first time for me at sulit.com.ph. I would consider browsing and buying from them again. ^o^

P.S. If you're considering buying books or mangas, try checking out daenerys2040's sulit page and she may have what you're looking for.

It All Started In Multiply

I think I have sounded like a broken record to myself that Multiply is closing. So, I apologize if annoy you with it. But I can't help being nostalgic about it because I did my first ever online shopping transaction in Multiply!

I started shopping online around 2007 or 2008. Multiply was one of the trending social networking sites back then, together with Friendster and MySpace. It wasn't a shopping site yet but it some people used it already as an avenue for selling items. Maybe because, first, you can make albums easily and even customize the borders and captions for it. I remember Friendster is not so friendly with the archiving and customizing of albums at that time. And maybe, second, you can also customize your whole Multiply site in accordance with your shop theme, which other social networking sites are not so good with the customizing features at that time. So, I guess, Multiply was the better avenue for that. And, yeah, I purchased my first ever item from an online store in Multiply.

My first ever purchase online and from an online shop in Multiply, is this Roma hobo bag from Fab Manila back in  2007. I instantly fell in love with this bag. It has an ethnic, bohemian pattern in the red-shade family on a majority of black background. The strap is an unrecognizable bronze-colored patent that looked like leather in the picture.

At that time, I grabbed the opportunity of buying it being sold with FREE SHIPPING! Who wouldn't want that?

I was secretly hoping though that the bag strap is made from leather when I got my hands on it. Nonetheless, I still loved it for its spacious interior and very clean stitching. If I can remember correctly, this bag sold around Php 600, which is not too bad since this bag is authentically Filipino made.  It can compete with any local brand and maybe with international brands as well.

Before publishing this post, I checked Fab Manila's Multiply site. They're still active until now and still selling great designed bags. I also looked for my bag as posted when it was still on sale (of course now, it is sold). It's still there! See here. Then again, Multiply is closing, of course their shop there will be closing too. But rest assured for bag lovers out there like me, they have a Facebook account, a Twitter account, and their very on website. I can shop for authentically Filipino-made and affordable bags from Fab Manila virtually anywhere!

My Roma hobo bag is still in good condition, except some crumples on the patent strap. The fabric hasn't faded and it doesn't attract a lot of dust. I can just hang it without even putting it in a dust bag. Overall, it's still good! I still use it until now. I usually use it as an accessory to my plain looking style or to a laid-back bohemian style. I hope I can purchase another Fab Manila bag, and I hope I can get one with free shipping again!

How about you? What's your first purchase online?

Multiply Closing And A First Migrated Post: Tony Moly Mini Tint

I just found out (from another blogger that I follow) that Multiply will close its social networking purpose. I have already somehow discontinued using it as a social networking site but kept it for online shopping use. And, I've also deleted some immature, foolish blog posts and planned to use it as my shopping blog. I actually started there but moved here because it's easier--post-sharing wise and search wise. Also, I already planned to copy/paste the entries I've done there but I forgot and got lazy to start migrating those posts. Hehehe. And because Multiply is closing I will start now. :D

Tony Moly Mini Tint (Originally posted on October 14, 2011)

This is one of my recent finds.(I'm using not so good webcam photos because I'm so excited to share a review on this! XD)

I got to know this tint a few months back in an online store in FB. I got so interested in it because of its cute container. It looks like a small nail polish or a cherry tomato. But I was skeptical of getting one because of the price. In some online stores, it costs around Php 70-80 plus shipping fee. And this is only around 5-8ml. I don't want to pay a lot for a very cute stuff. XD I think there is one online store from FB who sells this tint but I cannot remember which it was.

Luckily, I found one an online store in ebay.ph and it only costs Php 50. Another good thing too is that I don't have to pay for the shipping fee since the seller only lives near my village so I was able to pick it up!

So moving on....

This tint is a cheek and lip tint. So, it has dual purposes. But for this time, I want to try it on my lips first. I got oily skin and I've read some reviews that say liquid tints are not so compatible with oily skin. Maybe, I'll try next time.

This tint has only one type of shade but, I believe, it matches my skin tone. It is a very watery type of tint but the color is so red rich. I'm kinda apprehensive on trying it on. I don't want it to be hoochie red. But when I tried, voila! It looks so natural on my lips!

Before ...

After...
So, what do you think? XD

This tint is the good stuff! Unlike lipsticks, tinted lip balm, and lip gloss, it's very light on the lips. It will give you a very natural look. You don't have to put a lot of it. You just have to spot it on your lips and spread it. A small spot goes a long way. But if you wanted to add a little perk, you  can dab on a sheer lip gloss for the extra oooompppphhhh!

Judging from this effect, maybe I will use it everyday.  But I'm such a thrift user so maybe the tint will last for 3-6 months or maybe longer. (^_^)

How about you? Have you tried any lip tints yet?

Disturbingly Enticing

In some ways, I am disturbed specifically with this ad. One, it's everywhere. In Facebook ads, in blogger ads, in ads of other pages, and basically every website! Two, it features a lot of cellphones, which makes me want to buy or want another low end phone. Three, I believe every week, their products are increasing, that makes it very enticing to check what they've got.

If you have visited their website, you can see they offer free shipping, cash on delivery, Lazada warranty, 14-day return, plus a huge selections of gadgets, appliances, and what-nots for only a fraction of a price! How cool can they make online shopping!

If my curiosity will get the best of me, I might just try and shop for some things at Lazada. Hmmm...

Have you tried shopping there? So, how was it? Please do share. (n_n)

Skin79 The Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus Sold Dirt Cheap!

To commemorate the Philippine Independence Day, I bought a new BB cream! Actually, it's just a coincidence. XD

I bought Skin79 The Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus for only Php 450 from a previous co-worker.Can you believe that it's dirt cheap?

She said it's authentic. I suppose so too, so I trust her. She said it's dirt cheap because she got it directly from the supplier plus she doesn't have an online or a physical store. And though I got the BB cream without the box, it's perfectly sealed.

See the seal?

If you buy this BB cream in other online stores, it's double the price and exclusive of the shipping fee. How much more if you buy from stores? (x_x)

So when my previous co-worker tagged me in the photo in her FB, I grabbed the opportunity! I just hope that this BB cream will fit me well. (^_^)

Have you ever bought a usually-expensive-product for a dirt cheap price? Please do share! (^o^)

Impulsive On Books

Thank God for online shopping! But! It also acts a double-edged sword in my case.

Online shopping is a very convenient way to buy the things you want without leaving the house or without scouring the malls or shops to look for the items that you want to buy. With just a few clicks and your commitment to pay, you're all set! The later, however, becomes a threat if you are an impulsive buyer. Somewhat like me? Not so. :P

I can be an impulsive buyer, especially if I know I have the moolah to pay for it and it is within my allotted money. Even though I can be impulsive, I can still put a halt to it. I am not too reckless with my impulsiveness.

But if I am browsing or looking for hard-to-find-books, it's a different story. I cannot restrain my self, especially if I have been searching for it.

Like today, I have a lot of time to kill my time, I just browsed for good books in ebay and voila, this appeared:

The Hobbit Illustrated Edition ~ J.R.R. Tolkien and Alan Lee

I'm not especially looking for The Hobbit over the 'net because I have already read that courtesy to a friend. I am hoping that he will give me his copy. XD And, I have faith that I can find an old copy in book fairs. Just like how I found The Lord Of The Rings 1-3 for Php150 each. It was a real, lucky steal that I asked my Omma to buy it for me instantly. hehehe. But this discovery is like a gem in the dumpsters or a needle in the haystack. It will be very rare to find this in local book fairs or even in local book store sales. That book will be a defining for me I really am impulsive over books. (^o^)

I have faith that the book will be re-listed, so I'll be keeping an eye on that in my watch list. If I don't get it, it's okay. If I do get it, I'll be (^o^)(^o^)(^o^)(^o^)(^o^).

Officially One Year At Ebay

I checked my ebay membership just recently and I just found out that I started ebay on December 18th of last year and not February of this year. So, I have been a member of ebay for a year now. Hurray to that!

However, after my first ever purchase through ebay in February of this year, I have not been so active. Ebay has just been a recourse for me if I can't find what I want to have through sellers in Facebook. I have been more active in the last quarter and, specifically on these dates:

I have became enamored with all of the Korean products in this ebay store and they are sold cheaply compared to other online sellers. And what's better, is that, I can just pick-up the items near my house. And I guess, I have been one of their sukis.

I also got many good deals in ebay, like with my The Chronicles of Narnia book and with my original Nokia BL-5c Battery Pack. These items usually cost MORE in mall shops and it's really good to find a-fraction-of-the-price items in ebay. It will not really hurt your wallet.

Ebay policies and protocols are up to par to prevent and avoid bad transactions of buyers and sellers as well. Ebay is a good site for your shopping needs and it is a trusted site for most. It's user friendly and matches for your searches are mostly on the dot, that it makes online shopping a breeze.

So, far I have not met a bogus seller in ebay, and I hope not ever in the future. I always make sure that the seller has positive feed backs and check if the seller respond to any concerns and queries before making any official transactions.

Are you an ebayer? How was your experience?

Christmas Presents 2011

For this year's Christmas, I was able to get everyone in the family some presents. And it only cost me less than Php 500. How thrifty is that! I got most of them online, except one, which I got from a local warehouse store near our village.

Take a look of what I got!
The mirror is from the local warehouse store; the hand scrubs and the lipstick on the middle are all from online.

Online stores are the best escape from all the crowded malls during Christmas Season. They also offer big discounts on Christmas like in the malls. They offer good quality too. Just look for the good online sellers/stores and they'll sure save you from all the hassles during the holiday season.

Till Next Transaction!

I bought something from my suki ebay seller around two weeks ago. Fortunately, the product that I wanted was not available anymore. The bad thing is, they informed a little too late. I cannot change the payment details anymore because it was my turn to pay already and I waited 30 minutes just to get my self on the counter. The good thing is, the seller agreed to change it with an item with the same amount of the product that I originally wanted. So, all is well.

So, if you are an ebay buyer, you always asked to leave a feedback once you got your item. I left a neutral item that I didn't get. Of course, how would I leave a feedback that I did not even receive? Right? I just marked it neutral for the purpose that my feedback is neither good or bad.

But after a day, the seller asked to revise the feedback to a positive one. Every positive feedback is important to them (hers and to her online store). Thinking about it, they have been good to me. I've been making transactions with them almost every month and I would always enjoy a lot of freebies with my purchases. And with the recent purchase, the seller included extras for the item that was changed for the product. Why not? I gave with them a positive feedback but with some neutral scores. I guess that'll do.

It was a little disappointing. I didn't get the product that I wanted but at least the seller was kind enough to change the product. Will I ever have another transaction again? Yes, why not? The seller has a lot of good Korean products hard to find here locally. Plus, they sell those for a fraction of a cost and I can just pick them up near where I live!

Alcatel OT-918n, Seems Like Made for Me XD

I already stashed away the extra money for savings. I'm now just waiting for January for my ticket reimbursement from our Lolo. So by the time that I'll receive it, I'm ready to buy either a lappy or a mobile.

For the past few days, I was already searching for a prospect mobile that would fit my low budget of Php6,000. The phone must:
  • be within the budget range of Php 6,000.
  • have the basic functionas: can text and can call.
  • have a good battery life.

Basically, that's it! Maybe also, it can:
  • be a dual sim phone
  • and have Android OS 2.3.5. XD

While I was searching for the prospect phone, Tekpone posted this on their Facebook page.

Alcatel OT-918n

Take note, it meets all the criteria on my list and it's just Php 5,999, a peso to spare! Just hit the picture to see what I mean!

It's just released last November of this year and Tekpone just got them on their store shelves just this month. No, user reviews yet. I'm already excited to have this phone! January is the extended December! Why not? XD

Wish List 2011

Christmas is only a few days away. I still can't help to make my Christmas wishlist this year, though I'm already getting older. T_T Nonetheless, the idea makes me younger just thinking about it.

Rewinding back a few months ago, I realized I've gotten most of my material wishes online. I got my copy of an unabridged, 7n1 compilation of The Chronicles of Narnia from an ebay seller. I got my Lolita from Avalon.ph. I got my coveted kabuki brush from an online seller in FB. And I got them all for all reasonable prices and online!

I thought that I wouldn't make a wishlist for this year since I got most of the items that I wanted. But I am mistaken. I still have a few things that I want to have and maybe get them online!

I want to have these:

1. The Twilight Saga

2. Samsung Galaxy Y

3. Laptop

The first on the list is the Twilight Saga novels. I got my Twilight copy, the first book, from bookmooch but I gave it away because it frustrates me to see only one book of the Twilight Saga and not being able to read the next books. Only to my regret though. U_U I really don't care if I get all in paperback but a hardbound series is better. I'm really hoping that someone would give it to me this Christmas.

The second one is a Samsung Galaxy Y. I've been saving for this one but to my dismay, I may not have this phone. T_T This phone got good reviews and a really reasonable price. I've also seen some online sellers in Facebook about their lay-away plans for gadgets. But still... T_T

I didn't provide any photo for the last one. I don't really mind about the specs as long as it is a laptop with an i3-i5 processor and an ASUS. :P

My mind is rushing to get the second one on the list. But again, I can't. It's actually competing with the third one on the list. And the third one is more important than the second one. For the first one, I will wait until a miracle will happen in Christmas. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

How about you, what's your Christmas wish list for this year?
