Bremod Hair Color Premium series in 8.17 Milk Tea Ash review

As much as I want to delay my dyeing, I was privileged to be one of my office friend's guests in her wedding. So, I dyed my hair again just roughly four days before the event.

I wanted to try a hair color that compliments the fade of my hair. This time I dyed with the Bremod Hair Color Premium series in 8.17 Milk Tea Ash with 9% oxidizer.

(Photo taken from Google images)

I thought about using a 6% oxidizer but my grays are bit stubborn. 12% is already harsh and I must admit that it can maximize the fashion hair color that you want to use, especially if you'll be using bleach before-hand. But I'm not DIY-ing bleaching my hair ever again. So 9% volume oxidizer is, I believe, the right choice for me.

I think I love my hair this time. I think I can do an easier up-keep just by covering the roots when my hair grows. The brown tint is not way too far from how dark my actual hair is and the grays kind of blends in nicely.

Results on me with different lighting.

Upper right and lower left: Taken after more than a week
under LED lights in the office.
Lowe right: Taken after a week around 6 a.m.

I posted a reel of my hair color in Instagram. So, let me know what you think about it.

Have you tried any of the Bremod Premium series? What oxider level did you get?

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Mermaid Green again!

I dyed my hair again, just so ever recently after three months. As you know, the undergrowth is bad. Of course, it didn't fade well over time. I think it is the fate of bleaching your hair with a box dye at home and alone. XD

My hair update after a month and half-ish.
Look at that insane patchiness.
huhuhu

So, I dyed my hair with Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Hair Dye in Mermaid Green or 3GN. This is the second time for me to use the same hair dye. For the first time, I just dyed it over with unbleached darker hair. The green-ness didn't really come through and was showing very ashy brown. It was nice, in all fairness.

This was from December, 2022.
No green but more ashy. Not bad, I should say.

This second time around, the green-ness came out. Of course, it's because I had bleached, light-colored hair. The results are fabulous, I must say. I like it!

The green is more evident now.
Excited how it fades on me over time.

The Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Mermaid Green 4GN can be my holy grail hair color. I'm curious how it'll fade now that I came from a bleached (patchy) hair. XD Let's see!

What do you think? Do you like it, too?

Expectation vs Reality: My lightest hair color to date

It's been six months since I last dyed my hair and this time, I thought about something really crazy.

So, I bleached my hair and added a very light color to it, which is 0.0 Dust.

My expected result is far from my reality. Lol

My consolation to myself is that, my hair is somewhat like Bora's hair in Sistar's video, I swear.

This is what my hair has become after one week of bleaching and dyeing it.

One week after bleaching and dyeing

Honestly, it's patchy and quite uneven but I think I've grown to like it. I'm not sure yet. My besti and friends (who saw it) liked it. So... hmmmm.

Here's what I learned from this season's DYI hair dye-ing:

  • ✨There's always a limit on what you can DIY.
  • ✨ Always be ready for the result.
  • ✨ If you can't own the result, you can always go to the salon. πŸ˜…

How about you? Have you dyed your hair as crazy as this? Please share about it! πŸ™‡‍♀️

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam color in 7a Taupe Ash Gray

I decided to dye again with Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam color in 7a Taupe Ash Gray over the weekend.

I got another Jennie color but I am not a fan of Jennie or BP for that matter. It's just that I like Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam DIY hair dye because it covers my grays, it fades well on my hair with no brassiness and it's cheaper compared to going to the salon.

I think is from a new different line because it comes in a different box. Or a rebrand? I'm not so sure but rest assured it still has the same quality.

The box also comes with a separate inlay of
detailed instructions like the previous versions.

I got very nice results again using Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color. I posted the results on my Instagram Reels and on Tiktok but let me also post more pictures here.

I really like how the shade, 7a Taupe Ash Gray, suits me. I think it was able to match one of the results in the box.

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam is now a staple in my DIY hair coloring experience!

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Mermaid Green review

I dyed again! It has been four months since I last dyed my hair and it seems I'm on the Jennie shade roll. I want to try something darker and it's just a coincidence that the previous hair color I had was a Jennie shade.

I dyed this time with Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Mermaid Green.

My hair is already long, reaching a bit deep down the bra line. My hair is thick but layered and the strands below on the bottom part have become a bit thin. One box was still okay but if you have thicker hair than mine, use two boxes.

It was still able to cover my hair, especially on the roots but the ends haven't really processed. though it's not that noticeable, as seen on my Insta reels. It's okay and I still look decent.

Before dyeing...

Six days after dyeing...

Clearly, my hair have become darker and it made my complexion a bit brighter. My grays have become green right after application but faded well in a week. It doesn't look patchy, I dare say. So it's good. I feel this vibe compared to the vanilla blonde I tried. What do you think? Do you like it, too?

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Brown review

I dyed a couple of weeks ago with Mise en Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Brown.

It came out very, very golden brown on me. You can see that it's not exactly the same with what's on the box, especially under different lighting.

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color Hair Dye Shampoo in Vanilla Gold

I want to copy Mamamoo Solar's hair from Honey, her latest video. Solar has honey-colored locks that make her look so fresh. I want to cop her hair color, too.

Solar in Honey

So, I bought Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color Hair Dye Shampoo in Vanilla Gold, thinking I could achieve the same hair color, given my faded hair color. The middle effect is the targeted result.

My before-hair was already getting brassy. I forgot to talk about it here but posted it in my IG stories. If I remember correctly, it was Intense Dark Ash Blonde from Epsa. It's the cheapest DIY hair dye I've tried.

Check out the color transformation in my Instagram and TikTok accounts.

I feel like my head is a big sunset or the red panda in the movie, Turning Red. Of course, it's nowhere near Solar's hair. But I think it hits the vanilla gold-ish under different lighting.

I'm not very thrilled with my new hair color. It looks pretty decent, though. Lol

What can you say about my recent hair color? Let's see if I can get by to love it.

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Twinkle Blue

I recently dyed with Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Twinkle Blue. It didn't turn into the blue that it was shown in front of the box.

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color in Twinkle Blue

If you have checked out my post six months ago, I dyed with Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam in Metallic Ash. It was more of an ashy type of purple on me rather than being metallic. It was nice on me and it faded well on my hair. My hair did not become brassy or coppery. My grey hairs were also like highlights.

See how my hair looked like. These photos were taken with the rear cam of my Poco X3 NFC, without filter and near a window.

Six months is a good gap to dye again!

I chose Twinkle Blue with the recommendation of my Bb. Though my hair may not have the blue like Jisoo's, I can say it matched the results as shown on the information.

I still had the same great experience that I had when I first used Mise En Scene. What surprised me this time, is that one box is enough for my long hair! If you have thicker and longer hair than me,  I suppose you need two boxes.

I'm very happy with the results!

Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color Hair Dye Shampoo in Metallic Ash Review

It's around this time last year that I tried an outrageous hair color. This year, I want to go back to something basic but with a little bit of kick. So, I tried Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Color Hair Dye Shampoo in Metallic Ash.

I chose this color because it's brown with a kick of purple.
I didn't know until as of writing that that is Jisoo in the box.
Sorry Blinks! XD

This is my first time using a Korean brand. I bought my box from a Shopee store for Php 350, excluding shipping. Transaction and delivery time was great, not bad for every thing first time.

Like any DIY hair dyes, the box comes with the basics: developer, hair color, a pair of gloves, and an instruction manual. Along with the developer, there's a sachet of a treatment, which I think helps protect the hair. The box also comes with a cape and a hair pack, which are a big plus. Some DIY hair dyes don't include those.

Box contents

So like any DIY hair dyes, you just mix everything in the developer container, shake it vigorously or swirl it in circular motion for 20 seconds. As for this bubble hair dye, you swirl it, and then change the pump. The pump helps create the bubble foam, which makes the application very easy, like you're just putting on shampoo!

Though it was very easy to apply, it took me around an hour to completely cover my hair with the foam. Why? There was too much foam! The box is actually more than enough for my shoulder-length hair. It took me long time to finish all the foam inside the pump. Then again, this is so great. It guarantees that the hair color will be evenly distributed on your hair.

Another great thing about Mise En Scene bubble hair dye is that it rinses easily, too! The foam washes off easily and does not stain your bathroom. As you rinse, your hair doesn't become stiff, which makes the hair mask application another easy step.

The hair mask smells a bit strong to my liking but the smell diminishes after a couple of minutes when you apply. You have the option to let your hair soak in it longer or rinse it off immediately after 3 minutes. Nonetheless, it washes off easily and doesn't leave any soapy feel. It doesn't not weigh your hair down, too. Despite letting the hair mask soak for more than 3 minutes, my hair was not saturated, and heavy. I could easily dry my hair without the help of a hair dryer or constantly squishing it with the towel.

I could say, overall, that my Mise En Scene bubble hair dye experience was easy and breezy, except for the application which took me quite a long time to complete. My hair is definitely made evenly brown and very soft. It looks very even under fluorescent light and natural lighting. My greys are also 99% covered. I could still see some of them but they have blended in very well.  I love it!

In a nutshell...

What I like:
  • Easy to mix and to apply
  • Comes with gloves and a cape
  • Does not have an irritating chemical smell
  • Very bubbly and foamy. One box is more than enough for my shoulder length hair
  • Does not make hair stiff upon rinsing
  • Hair pack does not make hair heavy
  • Color is very even
  • Covers grey hair quite well

What don't like:
  • Not available in local stores but available online

Will I repurchase?

Yes!

I hope Mise En Scene Philippines would bring this hair dye here. Currently, they only have the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask sold in the Philippines. I love their bubble foam hair dye! It'll be one my options for dyeing my hair.

Have you tried this too? What color have your tried?

Beautylabo Whip Hair Color in Lucent Ash Review

I dyed again! This time it's with Beautylabo Whip Hair Color in Lucent Ash. I guess there's been quite a hype about this hair color recently. I guess the whip hair color line is revamped or strongly marketed here in the Philippines. Though I'm not very sure. There's a lot of reviews and demos out there that have been recently uploaded. So, it's exciting to see a lot Beauty Labo Whip around social media.

If you've been following my blog, I've been DIY hair-dyeing around 2012. Recently, Beauty Labo is my go to brand for hair dyes. A box is very affordable, can cover short to shoulder-length hair, and the color lasts pretty well up to four months. It also covers my gray hairs very well and doesn't become too brassy which I really love.

Previously, I used the Beauty Labo Hair Dye in Candy Apricot, which is in a cream-type dye. It was quite a bright shade of like reddish brown. My hair faded pretty well and wasn't too brassy. This time, I used the whip color hair dye in Lucent Ash.

What I like:
  • Very easy to use! I've seen in demos and reviews posted a year ago that it did not come with English instructions. My box had two instructions. And even if I only had the Japanese instructions, it's pretty straight forward and understandable because it has images in them
  • Very easy to apply! It's foamier than the Liese
  • Doesn't smell really bad. It may sting if you're sensitive. And don't smell the chemicals right off the bottle because I did that and lessoned learned. LOL

What I'm neutral:
  • Hair became really stiff when I was done rinsing off the hair foam dye. You need to use a separate conditioner. The box doesn't come with but there's a leave-on conditioner which you can use when your hair dry

Let's hope that the color will turn out nicely as it fades and as my hair grows. The shade on me turned out quite well. Don't you agree?

Beauty Labo Hair Dye in Candy Apricot Before and After Review

Four months ago, I tried Beauty Labo Hair Dye in Candy Apricot. Now, it has faded into a bit of a brown colour. Not very brassy but a tolerable copper colour. Perhaps the shampoo that I have been using also helped with how it managed my hair.

Four months ago

Look how bright the colour is! These pictures were taken at the office. My station is right under the fluorescent lights, that is how bright Candy Apricot can be. Take note that my hair was previously coloured but my roots were already showing. Definitely, it covered the roots effectively.

Beautylabo hair dye in Candy Apricot
I just realized that I think I wasn't able to do my hair colouring properly.
However, definitely covered those growing greys.

Freshly coloured roots! The red is so intense.

Current hair

After four months, this is what my hair has come to be. It became brown. I'd rather not say it has become brassy. It faded nicely. I believe the shampoo that I'm using currently using contributed to how it looks like. It's not frizzy, too.

Beautylabo hair dye in Candy Apricot after four months
The colour is still vibrantly brown and not discoloured badly.
I like how Beauty Labo Hair Dye fades this way.

Beautylabo hair dye in Candy Apricot after four months
The roots are already showing and grey hairs are popping, too.
I like that it does not make a line from the roots and the part that has still colour on it.
It faded well.

Will I try this colour again? I think not. It was a fun adventure with such a striking colour. I think I'll go back to my previous hair colour. That would be either Creamy Ash or Pure Beige. What do you think? If you'd like to now more about my experience with those two hair colours, check out Beautylabo Hair Dye in Creamy Ash and Pure Beige Review.

Beautylabo Hair Dye in Creamy Ash and Pure Beige Review

In my last hair dye post, I used Liese Blaune Creamy Foam Color in Brown. It is an easy DIY hair color and I have no problems with it.

Apparently my hair grow fast, thus, roots show up real quick. After five months, color has already faded with roots showing

I was thinking very hard to repurchase Liese Blaune or try another hair dye. I wanted something a little lighter and cheaper. It took me awhile to decide, which brand and hair color. The Watsons sales attendant at the time suggested Creamy Ash when I was contemplating in front of the Beauty Labo hair dye boxes. She thought it was the closest to my hair color. So last October, I decided to color my hair with Beautylabo Hair Dye in Creamy Ash.

The color on me faded after a couple of months with dignity, in fairness. Last December, I decided to color my hair again with the same brand but in Pure Beige. It successfully covered my hair without any explicit difference from the previous color.

Beautylabo Hair Dye in Creamy Ash
Beautylabo Hair Dye in Creamy Ash
This photo was taken in natural lighting, though it was a little bit cloudy.
It covered my gray hairs completely.
The color is just a little bit lighter than the
Liese Blaune Creamy Foam Color in Brown.
I must say the SA suggested well. ^o^

Beautylabo Hair Dye in Pure Beige
Beautylabo Hair Dye in Pure Beige
I have to pixelate my face in this photo because I look awkward on this one. ^o^
This photo was taken under fluorescent lighting.
The hair color is lighter than Creamy Ash but it's not over-the-top light.
It looks brown black under normal /  natural lighting or if you are under a shade.
It just looks lighter under intense lighting but not brassy.

What I like:
  • Very affordable! Just priced between Php 200 - 250.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Smell is tolerable but be sure to dye in a well ventilated space.
  • Does not fade into a brassy tone (at least for me).

What I don't like:
  • Does not include hair treatment. Although, hair is not that hard to rinse.

Will I repurchase?

Yes! Well, I actually repurchased from my first use, right? You can't beat the affordability and the effectiveness.

Have you tried Beautylabo Hair Dye as well? With what shades? Please do share about it! #^o^#
