Rant: Good and Bad Customer Service In One Day

Warning:  This is a poetic outrage.  Store branches will be mentioned.

It's very funny today.

Today, I experience two exact opposites of customer service.  One was the almost ideal one: helpful and sincere customer attendants.  Second was the hell kind: helpful but sarcastic.  This experience just happened a couple of hours ago and also the two experiences happened less than a couple of hours apart.

I went to Globe-Abreeza branch in the hopes of reactivating my dead sim.  When I got there, the customer attendant that I referred my concern to greeted me with a smile and redirected me to the express lane and also mentioning to me that I don't need to get a priority number.  I waited for a couple of minutes before getting entertained.  When I got the express lane desk, I was greeted with the same smile and let me air my concern.  The attendant carefully explained to me in a quick, concise and understandable manner that there's nothing to be done with my dead sim.  Okay, reality accepted.  That was a breezy transaction and did not add more injury to my remorse.

A few hours later, I went to Payless Shoe Store to buy a new pair.  I was greeted with the same warm smile as I had when I entered Globe.  I went to the size 9 section and a female customer attendant greeted me all the same.  A couple of minutes passed before I was able to choose  a brown pair.  I asked her if there's a pair that is not on display that I should try on and purchase.  She happily done my request.  While she was getting my requested pair, there flying shoe boxes.  I was glad I wasn't too close and she was fine after all that mishap.  When she got my pair, she landed the shoe box with a thump on the floor.  She told me to try it on to verify the fit and I did.  I was ready to pay and check the shoes out.  I checked the shoes for any misfit, loose or not glued part and too bad I found one at the side and asked her again if there is a pair that doesn't have such imperfection.  She hissed in disgust and got me another one.  I gave the new one a quick check and hurried to pay out. Before reaching the cash register, she was hurling me through their store protocol of sarcastically up-selling me other items which I politely declined.  When we finally reached the counter, she put the shoe box with a bang on the counter.  I just remained silent.  In my mind I swore I am never going back to that branch again.

Yes, let me say it again:  I am not going back to purchase a pair of shoes at Payless ShoeSource Abreeza branch.

I did not like the way that attendant coursed me through the whole purchasing thing.  Thank God, or she should thank God, that I did not get  her name or else!  God knows what might have happen.

And let me say this again:  I  am happy with my short transaction at Globe Abreeza branch.  I may not have your names but I guess you know who you are, so thank you.  And let me say this again for the nth time: I am not going back to purchase a pair of shoes at Payless ShoeSource Abreeza branch.

Just my luck to experiences to sides of a coin in a day.  Thank God for good customer service and thank God for restraining my senses of enduring bad customer service.  This really is warning that one day, my hope for humanity is slowly depleting.
