What Is A Chromatic Theme?

Hi guys!  Guess what?  Our company just announced earlier today what will our year end party be.  And it's going to be a chromatic theme.  The girls in my team were like, "What are we gonna wear for that?!"

Google wasn't very helpful with this one but according to Wikipedia:  Chroma is the colorfulness relative to the brightness of another color that appears white under similar viewing conditions.

Wow!  Big words!  Well from that highfalutin definition, I can conclude that a chromatic theme party should have colorful schemes, neon, bright, something very happy.

The first things that came to my mind was:  50's to 80's color blocking fashion, neon, fun, Laureen Uy, Aisa Ipac, and The Blonde Salad! HA!

Most girls in my team are already infusing an invisible list and notes on what to wear.  It's still far but hey, it would be really nice to prepare for something that happens only once.  And this is a good opportunity for me to get ideas from you guys!  Please give me your advices, tip, and what-nots.  I need all the suggestions I need with this crazy year end party theme.

Quick FX Pimple Eraser Review

Hi there again!

Finally, I'm going to share to you my findings on Quick FX Pimple Eraser.  I'm on my second pouch now and if you remember, I bought my first one back in February!  Wow!  This 10 gram baby lasted me for  four (4) months and I can say that in those months, it did help me with controlling and keeping those zits at bay.

I'm not saying that I am 100% zit-free but it did help me with making those small bumps NOT turn into huge ones. Too bad I don't have some before and after photos of that.  Nonetheless, I am very happy with this product that's why I am on my second pouch now!

Let's see the details:

Front
If you bought the  old packaging of Quick FX Pimple Eraser, you would notice that this one has a dedicated spout with cap.  You can be assured that whenever you dispense a very small size amount, it won't splurge out and you can be assured that when you store this away, it can be free from bacteria and contamination.  Thanks to the all new packaging!

Actives: Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin C, and Niacinamide
They specifically highlighted the active ingredients for those who have sensitive skin.

Back
What the back says:
With Glyocolic Acid that rejuvenates and evens out skin tone.  It also clears pores by removing old and dead skin, exposing healthy skin cells underneath.
With Salycilic Acid that helps prevent and treat acne.  It also helps clear out blemishes, fine lines and dark spots.
With Zinc Oxide that helps control inflammations and relieves the skin against irritation and rash.  It also provides superior protection against the harmful rays of the sun.
With Vitamin C that helps protect against UVB rays and can help combat sun damage.  It also decreases wrinkles and lightens pigmented skin.
With Niacinamide that helps lighten dark spots.  It also helps in the treatment of acne.
Directions for Use:  Gently apply on affected area.  Apply two times daily, morning and night.
Ingredients:   Aqua, Mineral Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20, Zinc Oxide, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Clyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Methylisothiazolinone and Chlorphenesin, Salycilic Acid, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid.
Warnings:  For external use only.  Do not use on skin with open wounds.  Discontinue use if irritation occurs.  If discomfort persists, consult a doctor.  Keep out of reach of children.
And this is made in Korea.
If you check out the ingredients, aside that they are all inorganic, some are highly adviced to avoid but it is also undeniable that they actually work.  I am pro-organic but I just can't help to also use inorganic topical skin care because of the availability and affordability.  One pouch only costs Php49, available all in Watson's outlets!

I can say this is my go-to product now for my zits!  I have seen very quick and good results for the months that I used this.  Like what I said earlier, it's really too bad that I don't even have a before-and-after photo to show you the effectiveness.  I'm really happy with this product!

Quick FX has also other skin care products such as the Tinted Moisturizer and the No-Shine Mattifier.  Maybe I will try them too in the future.  ^_^

Have you tried this one too?  Please tell me your experiences about it.  Thanks for reading!

Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack Review

Hello there!

How are you after long absence?

I am pretty well preoccupied with my job and what not.  It has been a ride along the treacherous tides and now, once again, I am enjoying the calm before another storm.

However, I am going to share to you a ride that hasn't calmed yet.  I am still riding the tide on the browse for a good chin patch.  I have tried the Etude House Black Charcoal Chin Pack but I didn't think about writing my thoughts about it.  This time I have tried another variant from Etude House, which is the Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack.

Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack in Eagle Owl.

Etude House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Pack (#01 Eagle Owl) sports a pink, cute packaging with an owl or eagle (as the name suggests) with a chin patch.  Who can't resist to that? It's weird and cute and the same for me.

The back of the package gives Korean and Korean-English translations of the features, directions and ingredients.  It also has a mini story of the Eagle Owl (weird bird ^o^)

About.

Story of Eagle Owl

Directions and Ingredients

I apologize with the photos.  It seems there's something wrong that I cannot figure.

The Etude  House Missin U Black Charcoal Chin Patch effectively get out the gunk and cleanses out the chin pores from sebum.  The length of the patch just fits right from the corners of my mouth.

Fits perfectly like a glove.

Can you see all those white heads?

After fifteen minutes, my chin was so clean and smooth!  However, after a few days, my chin feels a little rough and I guess there are white heads again.... Well, you can't just eliminate them all in one go, right?  I guess like the nose patches and masks,  cleansing out your face with this helps eliminates or minimizes the appearance of white heads and black heads.

It's a good product but I think I haven't found my go-to chin patch yet.  So, I'm going to keep sailing and look for good chin patches.

Till then, see you soon!  Thanks for reading! ^__^

Glam Works Charcoal Nose Pore Strips Review

Hi there! Ohisashiburi dane?

It's been quite awhile.  Thank God, I could get this time off to update you guys with my latest findings.  Actually there are a lot of them, so let me just start with sharing with you one of the things I found very effective on me.

glam works Charcoal Nose Pore Strips has been my recent to-go when I feel my nose is populated with icky blackheads.  For oily-skinned girls like me, I believe we have the same sentiments on that.  It is a constant battle but thanks to glam works Charcoal Nose Pore Strips, the battle against blackhead on the nose is an easier battle to win. (^o^)

glam works Charcoal Nose Pore Strips instantly removes blackheads, draws out impurities, absorbs oil and dirt, and unclog deep pores. Come with 12 strips inside!

CAUTIONS.
WARNING!  Icky photo ahead!

Icky photo.  As you can see, it got a lot of blackheads out of my nose.
I'm impressed by the effectiveness of this nose pore strip.  It remove most of my blackheads and whiteheads.  Of course, it would take time and proper cleansing to diminish them forever.

The glam works Charcoal Nose Pore Strip is sure is a bang for your buck.  I got this from Watson's for only Php 99!  I was  even skeptical at first because it's not available in single packs.  I wanted to make sure that it works before buying a box.  But I'm dumbfounded, it never failed!  Will I buy again?  A big YES!

Wondering About Human Heart Nature's Sunflower Beauty Oil and Sunflower Cleansing Oil

It's such a shame that I haven't updated other than joining a blog giveaway.  Yes, this and last month.  I was a little busy adjusting with my new job and tired to put up something.  Myged.  But anyway, I am still active and I'm working on updating something regarding with what I've used for the past not-so-active months.

Since, I have a new job, I have been using Blemish Balm (BB) cream everyday and I remove it with Human Heart Nature (HHN) Sunflower Beauty Oil.  The HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil undoubtedly removes BB cream and doesn't leave my skin oily after washing with HHN Balancing Face Wash.  But because of that, I'm running out of HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil.  I don't have the luxury to go to HHN Davao headquarters.  I can but I don't want to endure  heavy traffic, especially there's the newest opened mall near our office and there's the one year old new mall a few kilometers away on the same street.

Luckily, I have an office mate who is an HHN dealer. I decided to purchase an HHN Sunflower Cleansing Oil from her. I didn't receive it yet since I just ordered it from her last Friday.  Hopefully, I can receive it tomorrow or sometime this week. I can't wait to try it!

I can't help wondering, however, if HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil and HHN Sunflower Cleansing oil are just the same.  I checked their website for the ingredients and I found out that the HHN Sunflower Cleansing oil is made up of Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil and natural fragrance while the HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil is made of premium-grade Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil.  I also checked the comments part about it. HHN customer representative always stresses the difference with them. Let me quote the responses from different customers.

Our Sunflower Cleansing Oil is actually designed to cleanse your skin of dirt and makeup at the end of the day. However, we do recommend that you still wash, tone, and moisturize as usual after using it. :)
... the Sunflower Beauty Oil's formulation of premium-grade sunflower oil with a high linoleic acid content can help even out skin tone and lighten dark spots. Sunflower Beauty Oil is designed as a leave-on product and may be used all over the body, while the Cleansing Oil is designed to remove dirt and makeup on the face, after which it can be washed off with your usual facial wash. :)
This (Sunflower Beauty Oil) is different from the Sunflower Beauty Oil, which is an all-around leave-on moisturizer. The Cleansing Oil is designed, on the other hand, to remove makeup and dirt on the face, then be followed up with your regular cleansing routine (wash, tone, then moisturize).
Click here to read more of the comments and reviews about HHN Sunflower Cleansing Oil.

The HHN customer representative's responses are borderline sales talk and truth. It's not clearly stated if they are just the same or not since you can use the HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil as a make up remover aside from being a moisturizer. I've read from other blog reviews that they use HHN Sunflower Cleansing Oil as a hair leave-on moisturizer aside from being a cleansing oil.

I can say that HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil is a very flexible product. Like what I mentioned, I use it as a make-up remover. I also use it as a leave-on conditioner for my hair, a moisturizer for my dry areas, a spot remover for itch spots. If HHN Sunflower Cleansing Oil can do some, if not all, of the things that I use HHN Sunflower Beauty Oil for, then I can say I hit the jack pot!

Refer to Human Heart Nature's website for more information on their Sunflower Beauty Oil and Cleansing Oil. You can check the following links too for reviews:

Human Heart Nature Mini Haul

I'm slowly weaning from using chemical, commercial products and I'm happy about that! That's why I had a mini haul today to try out some of these products.

For me it's better to buy the smaller ones first and see if it is to my liking. I tried the Natural Feminine Wash in Chamomile Fresh* already. It was good and performed better than commercial ones.  So, I got the new variant, Chamomile Cool, to see if there are any differences and see which scent appeals to me. My BB also tried the Baby Wash with Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile* and it suits her perfectly!  But because she is now a very active toddler, we want to try the kid's wash.  All in all, I'm positive that they will suit me, since they are all natural, and I hope the kid's wash will suit my BB too.

From left to right: Balancing  Face Wash, Citronella Bug Spray, Natural Feminine Wash in Chamomile Cool, Kids Natural Shampoo and Body Wash in Tangerine Tarsier, and a Frequent Shopper Reward Card.
Bottom: Pinay Proud Sticker (I got it for free!)
How about you, do you have a recent mini haul? (n_n)

*I'll post  separate reviews on these products soon.
